Interested in showing your support for the "new and improved" Shady Grove Science Center and the Gaithersburg West Master Plan? Now is the time! Send an email of support to the County Council. Ask them to support the Gaithersburg West Master Plan and the future of science in Montgomery County.

1. Email Council President Phil Andrews at councilmember.andrews@montgomerycountymd.gov.

2. Email your individual County Council representative (Contact information below) and the At-Large members.

• This plan will create thousands of knowledge based jobs in the heart of Montgomery County's I-270 technology corridor.

• It will update what is now an auto-dependent suburban commercial area into a more vibrant, walkable, transit-oriented community that will be a great place to live and work, with shops and restaurants within walking distance from where the jobs are, and increased parks and open space for the surrounding community.

• This is about our future and how we hope to create opportunities for the next generation, not the stale voices of the past.

• This is about whether or not the County wants to remain a leading center of technology and innovation, or not.

• Don’t scale it back.
